***** A Book to suit any occassion to give Mum. ******
30 Things My Mum Taught Me the follow-up to the highly successful book 30 Things My Dad Taught Me. If you enjoyed the Dad Book you are going to just love the Mum Book.
About the book.
Thirty Things is a collection of sayings, thoughts and short stories about life and our mum, but what makes it unique is that the book provides room for the buyers to add their own words to the pages.
Thirty Things is written for any son and daughter to write their own thirty things (or 130 things) in the pages provided.
It’s like a big card, that you buy, read the nice printed words and then add your own words, before giving it to your mother.
A beautiful gift to share with your mum. Unique and personal.
The book also provides pages for mum to add her own Thirty Things to the book. Words that mean so much to her. Maybe words from her own mother.
The book can become a family treasure, as words can be added to the page, by child or dad, at any time, for any occasion.

30 Things My Dad Taught Me was first thought of following a visit Denis had with his dad Leon in hospital. Leon was very sick and had been there for several months. As dad and son had done many times before, they were sharing thoughts, some friendly banter, laughter and then there was a pause. Denis then told his dad he would write a book about what he had taught him and right there and then the book 30 Things My Dad Taught Me was born. But, it would not be just a book about his dad, it would be a book about every good dad, a book to be shared between good dads, their sons and their daughters. Leon passed away 21st February 2009 and Ian and Paul became involved and along with Denis the three brothers’ explored of the wisdom of their father.
30 Things My Dad Taught Me will help the reader appreciate their own father, value what is special about themselves and help them to positively influence their own children.
The book is a meditation on the experiences of one family, but reveals universal truths about love, kindness, growing up and loss. The reader is invited to enjoy the lessons of Leon James Baker and those words and thoughts encourage sons and daughters to add their own thoughts and recollections to blank pages in the book, to bring out the truths of their own lives.
The authors invite everyone who was once a child to share their memories of what it was like to be that happy, scared, petulant, loving person and to re-learn the valuable lessons that so many of us have forgotten. Add the thing your own Dad taught you on our lessons page.
